Aisling Foundation promotes Bantry concerts
The Aisling Foundation, the Irish makers of Grapefruit Seed Extract are promoting two concerts in St. Brendan's Church Bantry in August.
The first is with Dutch Overtone singer Igor Olivier Ezendam on the 20th. Igor is an acclaimed international exponent of overtone singing and it is an amazing experience to hear these amazing sounds live. Igor is giving a workshop on the 21st and 22nd.
The second called 'The Sound of Spirit' is with Ruth Weider Magan and Noirin Ni Rian on the 27th. Both of these singers have sung for the Dalai Lama and, whilst coming from completely different backgrounds, have found a commonality in the spiritual aspect of their singing.
Noirin is well know for her Gregorian Chant recording with the monks of Glenstal Abbey and Ruth has studied sacred Hebrew writings and is the first women to have been given access to some of the secret texts that were a strictly male domain.
This is a very special opportunity to hear them both together and, if you have an interest in the spiritual aspect of voice, it should not be missed.
Ruth is giving a workshop on the 28th and 29th of August in West Cork.
